The Preschool Cooperative continually strives for excellence in preschool education. We have been awarded accreditation from the highly respected National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and have recently received a 5-star rating, the highest possible, under North Carolina’s Division of Child Development licensing standards.

The Preschool Cooperative also serves as a community-based site for Bright Beginnings, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Pre-Kindergarten Program, which is designed to provide a child-centered, literacy-focused curriculum to ensure that all children in Mecklenburg County enter kindergarten ready to learn.

We successfully place each and every graduate into an elementary school where the child and the family continue to succeed. Our relationship with our graduates never ends – we continue to contact, coach and encourage our families as they strive to be contributing citizens within our community.
